Yesterday I made a batch of my cashew cream. Very vanilla…
and dark chocolate.
So lunch today was a wonderful mix of sweet and savory. I had some fresh strawberries dipped in a bowl of vanilla cashew cream and a plate of spinach, roasted chicken with horseradish mustard and veggie chips.
My yoga practice was all about “with” today too. Sun salutations with a little dance movement, plank with a few push-ups and finally savasana with some much-needed deep relaxation. Ahh….
Yoga Pose of the Day: Natarajasana (Dancer Pose) Do this pose with a sense of humor and an open mind as it takes lots of balance and strength. If it’s a new pose for you toppling over is the norm so don’t be discouraged, just have fun with it!
This evening I snacked on some carrots while preparing a huge salad for dinner. In the mix: romaine, spinach, zucchini, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, chickpeas and sunflower seeds with a spicy mustard balsamic vinegarette.
For a sweet treat later I’m gonna brew a cup of my chocolate strawberry tea along with some raw maca infused dark chocolate 🙂 First another baking experiment. It’s a friend’s birthday tomorrow so I’m going to try a new Nutella filled cookie recipe. Hope they turn out!
