Class today was fun and I feel stronger already 🙂 I got to the gym early for some cardio: ran 3 miles and walked 2 on the treadmill. Then had a blissful and relaxing yoga practice at home to unwind afterwards.
Yoga Pose of the Day: Supta Padangusthasana (Reclining Big Toe Pose) This was such a calming way to stretch my tight hamstrings after all that running and strength training. Ahhhh….
Rewind to this afternoon: for lunch I fueled up with a bowl of blueberry coconut milk yogurt topped with fresh raspberries and sliced banana along with chicken salad (shredded chicken, dijon mustard, splash of rice vinegar, diced tomato, chopped dill pickle and S&P) on top of romaine.
Had more green tea before class and tons of water after; then dinner was a fabulous mediterranean inspired salad and side of whole grain corn chips…
In the mix: chopped fennel, diced tomatoes, red onion, cannellini beans, tuna, kalamata olives, and fresh parsley on romaine tossed with my own dijon vinaigrette (dijon, red wine vinegar, olive oil, diced garlic, dried oregano and s&p).
